Al Rashed Mall is one of the biggest malls in Saudi Arabia, which is located in Al Khobar. You can find it west of the city center, north of Dhahran Road. The shopping center features a great number of stores, including computer stores, family entertainment centers and food establishments. There are also beautiful fountain displays which widely make it different from other malls in the Kigdom.

The big shopping center was founded in the year 1994 by its owner, the Al-Rashid Trading and Contracting Co Ltd. It was built based on the design of the owner, which is a Y-shaped floor plan with five levels. In 2006, a Carrefour hypermarket located at the other side of a road was included to the mall’s original floor plan. A bridge, which also houses a number of good shops, was built to link the two buildings.

There is just about anything you need in Al Rashed Mall. Garments, accessories, home decors and spices are available at very affordable prices. Expats new to the city will have nothing much to worry about as everything they need are all at the mall and at cheaper prices. Some of the best produces of the eastern and western countries are also showcased here. Anchor stores you will see are Paris Gallery, Forever 21, Zara, Marina, Al-Sawani, and Jarir Bookstore.

The Al Rashed Mall is a shopper-friendly establishment. It has banks open from Saturday to Thursday morning and 24/7 automated teller machines. There’s a wide area for parking, toilets and washrooms, and a nearby mosque. Having a mosque around the area makes it easier for the Muslims to say their prayer during prayer times. Be advised that there are five prayer times in Al Khobar everyday, and during these hours, the mall as well as other businesses in the city close and reopen once the holy activity is over.

If you love water works, then the three beautiful fountains of the mall will fascinate you. One of its fountains, the biggest, is designed to imitate a small waterfall view. Water flowing from the fountain is from the third floor of the mall to the ground. The second fountain in the mall offers different features. Streams of water are coming out of the ground and look like ribbons performing exhibitions in the air. The third fountain is with fire at the middle. You can witness the one-of-a-kind beauty of this fountain from 8:30 pm to 10 pm everyday.

For people who plan to shop or check products online, the Alrashid Cyber Mall is the place to go. The site offers products and services offered at the local mall such as children garments, shoes, bags, and even salon services. The prices and descriptions of the products are also available on the site.

The Al Rashed Mall is easy to find, and is, in fact, the landmark used by many people who are new to the city. There are plenty of taxis around the area so travelling to and from the center should not be a problem. Moreover, smaller retail shops are just around the building.
