Phuket receives thousands of tourists on a monthly basis for a ton of reasons, but the most popular attractions are the beaches and the many fun activities they offer. Parasailing and other water sports are on the top of the list.

Yachting is a fun way of seeing more of the Andaman Sea and watching the Phuket shoreline from a distance. There are also several patches of islands and islets to visit. This water sport, however, is a bit on the expensive side with 12,000 baht rental per day.
Sea-canoeing and kayaking are also popular in the island. There are limestone islands off Phang Nga Bay that are only accessible by an inflatable kayak. Those islands are said to have amazing views including a number of caves and ancient wall paintings.
Fishing is made famous in Phuket by the Phuket Fishing Park in Sawai Lake in Koh Kaew near the Two Heroines Monument. There are large fish here that pose quite a challenge even to expert anglers. The prize catch is the elusive and gigantic Arapaima, one of the largest freshwater fish in the world.
For tourists who may not be into water sports but simply want enjoy a fun time by the water, they can always get into a beach volleyball match, sprawl for a beach massage, or simply stroll down the beach to enjoy a scenic view of the sea. One could not run out of things to do by the beautiful beaches in this island paradise.
