A couple of small temples and the old municipal library are situated in this busy market area.

Udaipur is a shopping haven for the art lovers with the various art products sold here, from paintings, marble handicrafts and fabric to metal furniture, carpets and rugs, and jewelry. It is the center of the Rajasthani style of miniature painting. Local artisans here boast years of experience in crafting traditional puppets, wood carvings and some fabulous furniture and functional pieces that can be found across the city.

Udaipur’s Clock Tower is another landmark in the town center where there are tremendous shopping options. It is a typical winding alley where a plethora of exotic goods can be found such as silver and gold items. To find the best fabrics, visit the Lake Palace Road and Ghanta Gar Road where all types of textiles, including the woven and embroidered items, can be found.

Another good place for shopping in Udaipur is the Shilpgram Museum, a popular crafts village only several kilometers from the town center. It is found on the west bank of Fateh Sagar Lake and is easily reached by rickshaw. A popular crafts fair every December takes place here. Another attraction in Shilpgram is the traditional Indian mud hut.

Reckoned as the first shopping mall in Udaipur, the Celebration Mall has 144 store units that include a gaming complex, multiplex, cafes and restaurants and many more.
