Located south of Longtan, the Leofoo Village Theme Park is one of Taiwan’s famous amusement parks. Established in 1994, the park consists of four themes or areas including the Wild West, African Safari, Arabian Kingdom and South Pacific. Covering a vast area of 100 acres, this theme park has become the first leisure park that combines aspects of both a recreational park and theme park, creating a tangible environment that includes buildings, a huge landscape, plants, food and beverage, recreational facilities, clothes, merchandise and music. With this, the park offers an exciting and worthwhile experience for every visitor.
Besides the themes, the park now has over 30 famous recreational facilities including Pagoda’s Revenge, Mighty Mountain Flue Adventure, Screaming Condor, Big Canyon Rapid Ride, etc. With the continuous expansion of Leofoo Village Theme Park, more and more facilities will be launched to offer more variety and plentiful services to the visitors. Because of its commitment to service, the park won as best recreational tourism park verified by the national government every year.
In South Pacific Park, the area is adorned by tropical palm trees, rattan huts, vivid patterns and mysterious stone sculptures while visitors are serenaded with romantic songs and passionate dance shows. You will totally relax and enjoy the overall dreamy Polynesian mood. If you are in search of perfect excitement, better try Pagoda’s Revenge, as you will be dropped from the 17th storey straight down to the ground. This will be the best 3-seconds of your life as you experience the power of gravity. Other rides include the Mighty Mountain Flume Adventure and the Captain Cook’s Swinging Ship.
As the only safari zoo in Taiwan, this place enjoys a prestige all its own in the country. Touring the African Safari can be done either by the Nairobi Express, by tour bus or by foot. Riding via Nairobi Express, you can observe the living habits of many herbivores such as American Bison and Rhinoceros. If you take the tour bus, you will meet some predatory animals like American black bears, baboons, and similar animals. If these rides are not enough, you can roam and meet unique animals in the Zulu Petting Zoo, Say Hello to Macaw, Monkey Den and White Tiger exhibits.
In the golden Arabian Kingdom, you will encounter the complex of 37 royal palaces with varied styles and height that makes up a dreamy atmosphere of the entire park. Based on the fairytale, this is a great place to go for the kids. You can try varied rides, from the four-wheel land rover in Sultan’s Adventure, the turning vehicle in Ring of Fire, to flying with a Flying Carpet.
Based on the concept of Tombstone Town in Arizona, the Wild West is a fun-filled theme park section. One of the best rides is the Screaming Condor, which is Asia’s first and the world’s second U-shaped suspended spiral rollercoaster. The trip consists of 360-degree spirals plunging down into a 90-degree vertical drop. Other interesting recreational rides suitable for kids and adults include the Big Canyon Rapid Ride, Little Rattler, and Old Oil Well.
All four theme parks in Leofoo Village Theme Park are positioned to form a cruciform center, which is an intersection. At the center is the Leofoo Village Central Magic Fountain, which is one of the most stunning pieces in Taiwan. The stage in the center is adorned with sculptures that represent each theme section. Standing on the fountain, visitors can witness the magnificent sculptures of the four sections all at once.
