Located at the west coast of Thailand, Krabi is a huge tourist attraction in the country. Amongst the spots it boasts are the magnificent beaches in Phi Phi Island and Railay as well as the limestone formations in Phang Nga Bay. Getting to Krabi isn’t difficult as it is accessible either arriving by plane, taking a long drive with bus or passing through the caves and tropical scenery with the boat.
If you want to go to Krabi by land, you can get there using a car or bus or taking the train. Indeed, there is no direct train route from Bangkok to Krabi. However, you may take the Hualomphong Station in Bangkok going either to Trang, Suratthani or Tung Song. From these places, you can take a bus ride to Krabi. When getting to Krabi with car or bus, you can catch bus services in Bangkok, Phuket and Suratthani. From Bangkok, take the southern bus terminal located in Pen Klao and the journey may take 13 hours before you arrive in Krabi. From Phuket, the travel time is a bit shorter, which may take about 3 -4 hours. You can catch a local bus in Phuket Bus Terminal, which leaves daily.
