Visiting another country often requires some semblance of preparation for the local customs and climate, as it were, to make sure that the traveller does not end up donning something inappropriate or unwise for his trip. Fortunately for those travelling to the country, figuring out what to wear in Pakistan is not at all difficult. Most of the things that are considered acceptable in one district or city are going to be considered acceptable in another, with just a few minor variations and modifications dependent on the weather.
As far as the cultural points relevant to your fashion choices go, you should remember two things: first, that this is a largely Muslim country; and second, you are not under any obligation to go completely “local” in your dress choices. Pakistan is actually a fairly open country, and it is not a place where even foreign females are required to don the headscarf so commonly seen in television portrayals of the locals.
