Taiwan is a beautiful, progressive Asian country, although tiny. Its counties and townships away from the major cities of Taipei and Kaohsiung are clean, orderly and on the road of development. A county located in Central Taiwan is picturesque Nantou, home of the world famous Sun Moon Lake. Weather in Nantou is basically warm, but since the city has more mountainous terrains than plains, there are a number of cold spots on the elevated area. It snows on top of Nantou’s Joy Mountain.
